[Well someone's looking a bit smug right now. The camera turns to show a male Combee eating his way through a small pile of Berries.]

I got third place in the Bug Catching Contest with this guy. All I had to do was ask the Pokémon if any of them would be okay with me catching them just until the end of the contest and then letting them go, and this guy offered to come with me. He never even needed to get hurt to get caught and now he wants to travel with me for a while instead of going back to his home. See? Some Pokémon will come with you if you just ask. You don't have to fight them all the time.

[The camera turns back to Apollo's slightly less smug face. He holds up the Sitrus Berry he won.]

I won this. It's supposed to heal better than an Oran Berry, so it sounds like they'd be good to collect, but has anyone seen these growing anywhere? None of the Pokémon with me have seen them before.

No... I've kept a sharp eye out for any berries, and I've never seen that one before!

But, there's a lot of this world I haven't seen, so I'd be happy to know if someone's spotted it before, too!

It has to grow somewhere. Maybe it's from somewhere far away. I think I'll hold on to it and try to plant it somewhere if I can't find any plants already growing. It would be good to have some more around.

I have heard there might be regions besides Johto and Kanto, so I'd certainly believe that...

That's a good idea! Do you have a thought on where you will plant it? The weather does shift around here a bit.

I had a pretty similar thought myself, but I haven't seen enough of Johto to pick a spot.

I'm trying to find a cave somewhere near a forest and a water source to live in. The only one I've found so far was the one between Cherrygrove City and Violet City, and that one's too big and has a lot of Pokémon in it already.

-oh! So you don't wish to stay in a city? That's a little harder... I'm afraid there tend to be wilds everywhere.

But, why not try around Azalea Town? I've never been, but it's beyond Ilex Forest, and I think there's some caves nearby.

I liked Ilex Forest, and I found some good spots, but I don't know how I'd build a good shelter there. I'm heading to the Lake of Rage next to see if Mt. Mortar has any good caves before I try to build anything.
