I got third place in the Bug Catching Contest with this guy. All I had to do was ask the Pokémon if any of them would be okay with me catching them just until the end of the contest and then letting them go, and this guy offered to come with me. He never even needed to get hurt to get caught and now he wants to travel with me for a while instead of going back to his home. See? Some Pokémon will come with you if you just ask. You don't have to fight them all the time.

[The camera turns back to Apollo's slightly less smug face. He holds up the Sitrus Berry he won.]

I won this. It's supposed to heal better than an Oran Berry, so it sounds like they'd be good to collect, but has anyone seen these growing anywhere? None of the Pokémon with me have seen them before.

In the real game, you have to fight all the time! Ah, aside from the starter...oh, and sometimes they give you them for free, I think. It's no big deal.

This isn't a game. This is the real world with real animals. It's important to treat them right.

Some of them like to fight, you know. I still fight with mine, and they like me just fine.

That's such a childish way of thinking! Fighting is a natural part of things. By not letting them fight, you're depriving them of what they need! It's like not feeding them.

Are you stupid? Fighting and eating are two different things. The only reasons anyone needs to fight to live are to hunt other animals for food and to defend yourself if you're attacked. Fighting for fun or because you feel like it isn't something anyone needs to do. It's not cruel to keep animals from getting hurt.

You're the stupid one. Pokémon like fighting. If they didn't want to, they wouldn't, you know. You're just not letting your Pokémon be themselves...unless you've got an entire team of sissies.

I'm not stopping them from fighting at all, I'm just not looking for fights that don't have to happen! I'm not keeping them in their balls all the time and not letting them out or something stupid like that! They don't always like to fight. Sometimes they don't feel like fighting and sometimes they do. If they didn't want to travel with me I wouldn't force them to. They're all fine with how I treat them.
