[Even though this has happened before, Apollo didn't see it coming this time either, so he's almost as surprised as last time. The only difference this time is that he knows now that mammal-like Pokémon come from eggs, so there isn't that revelation to deal with as well.]

Furret had eggs again, this time with Firaga. Combee and Vespiquen had eggs too.

Also visible are a Furret trying to comfort a Sentret who walked in on Mommy doing things with Firaga, a Growlithe who's eagerly racing around the Sentret and Growlithe eggs, sniffing and nuzzling them, a Vespiquen reclining regally among the Combee eggs with a Combee flittering around her, and a Zangoose with a twig in her mouth, pounding her fist into the palm of her other hand while glaring at an Autumn Form Sawsbuck who has a black eye as a result of being a little too pushy about getting on with this whole egg-making business with someone who's known him for less than two weeks.]

Since winter's almost here it would be better if the eggs were taken care of by someone. I don't want to have to leave them in the PC all winter if I can help it. They're okay with me giving the eggs to other people as long as they're taken good care of.

There are four Sentret eggs, two Growlithe eggs, and eight Combee eggs here. Sentret look like this [Camera focuses on the slightly traumatized Sentret.] and they evolve into Furret like this one [Camera focuses on the Furret holding the aforementioned Sentret.], Growlithe look like this [Camera focuses on the super-energetic Growlithe.], and Combee look like this [Camera focuses on the Combee tending to his queen.] and the females evolve into Vespiquen like this one [Camera focuses on the Vespiquen.]. I can have Nurse Joy send them to your PC Box at whatever PokéCenter you're closest to.

[Even though she had expected that question coming, it took her a while to think. Having to talk about her own feelings towards someone was something new for her.]

While the ones I've been stuck with aren't...well, the most pleasant to be with, I don't know what I'd do if I had to lose them.

They mean to me as much as my friends mean to me back home. They're just...really important.

Which egg did you want to look after?

[While she's interested in getting the Sentret pile, she can't help but feel no one's probably going to adopt any of the Combee eggs. She wasn't a fan of insects in particular but it would be sad if none of them found a good home.]

Would it be possible to take both the Sentret and the Combee egg?

[That was the mun's assumption here too.]

Two eggs? Sure. Who should I tell Nurse Joy to send it to and which PokéCenter are you closest to?

I'm in Violet City at the moment, so just send it to the PokéCenter there. Tell them its for Asou Misaki.

[A few minutes later the response comes back. Apollo's inside the Mahogany Town PokéCenter now.]

She just sent them. She says that they'll be there by the time that you check the PC.

[And don't scream too loudly when the adorable fuzzy baby uses Flamethrower.]

I can do that. I'm totally good at takin' care of animals. And people. And peopleanimals.

[It takes Apollo a minute to work things out. First, "peopleanimals"? Yes, he does think of animals as being people just like humans, but that word is just strange. Ron's apparent non-sequitur and the end is strange too, before Apollo suddenly realizes that he might have been responding to the Pokémon speaking. Apollo's met so few other people who can talk to Pokémon that it takes him longer than it should for him to realize what's going on.]

You can talk to Pokémon too?

[Ron had to come up with some way of categorizing sentient animals and half-man half-animals created by mad scientists. Unfortunately, in addition to the Pokemon language, he was also fluent in Buffyspeak]

Yeah,not that hard actually. Had a harder time learning giant roach.

There aren't many people here who can talk to Pokémon. I think that including you there are only three of us here.

Nah, it's mostly just me. I mean, Monkey Fist talked to monkeys but then he got turned to stone. and Kim knows naked mole rat now, but that's pretty much it. I'm just sayin', only three seems like a weird number.

[The response comes a few minutes later. When it does, Apollo's inside a PokéCenter.]

[ Oh-ho is that a fire type she sees? Aradia was already interested in the post for the sheer amount of eggs - eggs eggs eggs she loves learning new egg markings and some of these will be replayed and sketched later - but that happens to be on her to-do list still. ]

Growlithe is a fire type, right? I could absolutely care for one of those!

Yeah, Growlithe the puppy Pokémon... My first one evolved into an Arcanine and this one [pointing at the calm Poochyena on her lap] seems like she misses having her tiny friend around.

Umm, they're my friends and like family to me. I trust them and they trust me, and I hope I'm as important to them as they are to me. Me and my Audino are more like sisters than a breeder and her starter, because we do so much together and she's been with me ever since my first day here. ...I guess I shouldn't think about that sister thing too much when eggs happen. Anyway, I don't know what I'd do without them all. They're very, very dear to me.

The one with me is fine with how he is now. Someone named Lea used to be the one who took care of him and he ended up with me when Lea left. He's doing well with me now even though he misses Lea. He's really energetic, so the baby might be too.

The Pokémon with me are my friends too. I don't think it would be as fun being here without them.

I'm glad he's doing well with you now, considering how loyal they are to their trainers. ...Not that I've ever received one from someone else's team, so I have no idea how they adapt to the new situation. And they are usually energetic and friendly as far as I know, so I'm sure it'll be fine as this one's new friend.

I don't think so either. Besides they help a lot when someone goes home...
