[Video / Action for Lake of Rage]

[54 Combee eggs. That's what this video opens on. Someone who's been to the Lake of Rage before might recognize them as being in the cheapest cabin in the resort, but they fill so much of the shot that it's hard to see anything else besides the eggs and the Vespiquen and Combee who are responsible for filling up Apollo's PC box nearly to capacity over the last several months.

Apollo's voice comes from behind the camera.]

Vespiquen and Combee have been getting ready to start a hive for a while now, so they've been laying eggs and having me keep them in the PC. Vespiquen decided that they had enough eggs now, so she's going to let them hatch. She wanted to show them to everyone first though.

[Vespiquen speaks up in pokéspeak.]

With my trainer's assistance I have amassed a vast starting population for my future domain! Surely no other Vespiquen in history has presided over so many children at their hive's inception! I doubt that any of you watching this will have their offspring turn out even remotely as impressive as mine!

[Apollo isn't going to bother translating that for the non-Pokémon who are watching. Vespiquen doesn't need her ego stroked. A question occurs to him though, one that he had assumed the answer to already but hadn't actually asked yet.]

These eggs are all going to hatch at around the same time, right?

They will.

I should make sure that they all have food waiting for them then. You two are going to be busy.

It's strange that that would happen.

It doesn't seem like there will be anything to worry about, no.

[Apollo's listening in on the Pokémon's conversation through Vespiquen, but responds verbally in what must sound like a huge non-sequitur to Nagisa.]

Vespiquen was the one laying the eggs, not me. I haven't done much work.

It was definitely weird - everyone checked me out to make sure I hadn't strained my vocal cords or anything like that, but they said it was all because I was upset. The story has a happy ending, though. The situation got resolved at the concert, and I was able to pick up the solo I was assigned and finish the show strong!

I think things will be just fine here, too.

[Nagisa's only been half-paying attention to the conversation Dii-chan and Vespiquen have been having. She trusts her friend not to say anything mean or insulting. The Audino likes music as much as her Trainer does, so even the little musical lilt in her tone isn't that much of a surprise. That response sure gets her, though, and she has to pause and blink for a little bit before realizing what just happened.]

Well, if Dii-chan says you were helping out, then I trust that she's right. She's got a way of figuring things like that out. Even if Vespiquen did lay all of the eggs herself - and that's a lot of hard work, Vespiquen! You and Combee both must be really excited that things are coming together - they wouldn't be where they are without help from you. Is that it, Dii-chan?

[Dii-chan nods enthusiastically, saying "Dii! Au-dii! Dii!"]

[Vespiquen agrees that Combee and Apollo have been excellent servants, even if laying the eggs was the hardest part. For a moment Apollo looks like he's holding back a sigh at that. Vespiquen is overly-demanding.]

Yeah, I'm happy for them. We've been planning this for a while, so it's nice to see it finally happening.

[seasidecherry]

I'm really happy for them, too. It's obvious that you all really care a lot for it. I'm thrilled that your dream is coming true!

[Nagisa and Dii-chan wear matching smiles, and after a second, the Audino starts to sing a little.]

Eh? Dii-chan? It is like that song, isn't it?

[And together, both of them start to sing Niji no Ressha, their hand motions in time with each other. They've clearly been practicing.]

[Apollo listens to the song and is pleasantly surprised by it; it's music like what constantly plays everywhere, only not eternally repeating and annoying, though it too would probably get annoying if it constantly played.

He waits until they finish before speaking. Vespiquen and Combee are watching over his shoulder.]

That's nice music.

[The two Pokémon agree that it is.]

[It's why she didn't sing the entire thing. Nagisa loves it, but it gets stuck in her head, too.]

I've always liked how positive it is. It's a fun one. And she loves practicing with me, when I sing. I think she knows some of the choreography better than I do.

[Dii-chan agrees, nodding her head.]

...you're not supposed to agree that you know the choreography like that, you know...

[Nagisa sighs, but finally laughs, giving the Audino an affectionate scratch behind her ears.]

It's been really nice talking to you! I'm Nagisa.

[whateveryoueatliveitspart]

[He smiles. It's always nice to see humans and Pokémon having a good relationship.]

I'm Apollo.

[Apollo continues to not realize that he should say "it's nice to meet you too" or something similar in this situation.]

It's nice to meet you, Apollo!

[Dii-chan nods. She still seems really happy about having gotten to sing with her trainer and having gotten ear scratches afterwards, but she's a social Audino. She genuinely likes people.]

It's nice to meet you both, too, Vespiquen and Combee.

[Vespiquen and Combee both give their greetings, in exactly the way that Apollo should have.]

They say that it's nice to meet you both too.

I hope there's a rainbow in the sky the day their eggs hatch. It'd be awfully nice! I'll be hoping for one.

That would be nice. I'm not sure if it will rain anytime soon though. It's been pretty hot recently.
